Who: Middle and High School students
What: Winter Conference is a weekend retreat that serves as a sort of
mini-Youth camp for the winter. Large group worship times, sermons
that students can relate to, Session times on different subjects, and during
free time a great chance to see and experience all the fun of Gatlinburg,
TN.
Where: Gatlinburg, TN
When: January 15-18, 2009. Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend. Depart First Baptist at
4:00pm on the
15th, return around 5:00pm on Monday
Jan 18th.
How Much: $115 per student,
this covers the cost of the retreat, as well as hotel accomodations, and 5
meals. Students will also need money for 2 fast food dinners at a
Wendy's/McDonald's Type restaurant, and also money for 2 dinners at
restaurants in Gatlinburg that they choose. A suggested amount for spending money just
for meals would be around $40.
There is also a lot to spend money on in Gatlinburg - Conference Souvenirs,
tourist areas, arcades, snack/ice cream shops, gift shops, etc. I'll
leave that up to parents to decide on.
